As Engine 501 was on the air enroute to a non-emergency public service call in the first due, Box Alarm 8126 was sounded at 1649 for reports of a Townhouse on fire in the 9700 Block of Bragg Ln in the George Town South neighborhood. Engine 501 radioed communications and made them aware that they were in the area of Taney Road and they were going to divert to the first due box alarm as the fire due engine. Engine 501laid out from the intersection of Bragg Ln and Byrd Dr and arrived on scene with a 2 story middle of the row townhouse with smoke showing from the roofline. Battailon 581 (Stern) established Bragg Ln command. Engine 501 stretched a line to the second floor of the delta exposure where a majority of the smoke was coming from and met up with members from Rescue 501. Members located a fire in the attic between the two townhouses. Tower 501 made the roof after throwing multiple ground ladders and made a cut. Fire was extinguished by company 1 members. Units went ready at 1825.
