FIRE IN THE BED ON A WORK TRUCK

April 9, 2001 - At 1341 hrs, Engine 1, Engine 1-2 and Chief 1-1 responded to 9160 Mathis Ave, just down the block from the firehouse, for a truck fire. On arrival, the crews found a small dump truck with fire in the bed and extension to the cab area. Crews advanced a 1 1/2 line into the bed and extinguished the fire. FM2 was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. Units went ready at 1417 hrs.
