HEAD ON COLLISION
AT THE GODWIN RAIL CROSSING |

Having just
cleared another traffic accident at Mathis and
Liberia Avenues, Engine 1-1 and Chief 1 responded to
the intersection of Godwin Drive and Wellington road
for another motor vehicle collision. On arrival,
Engine 1-1 found several vehicles involved. A closer
inspection relieved two cars that had hit head with
one driver still confined to the vehicle. Two
firefighters from the engine forced the door open
using the irons and assisted with patient care. All
hazards were controlled and the Engine went in
service in about 20 minuets at 1944 hrs.
