ENGINE AND TOWER GO TO WORK IN THE PARK |
|
April
03, 2010
– At 1530 hours mutual box 89-03 was transmitted for
a house fire at 237 Manassas Drive brining Foam
Engine and Tower 501 second due. While units were
responding, Manassas Park Fire Communications
advised the cops were on scene reporting a working
fire on the second floor. Engine 509 and Foam Engine
501 arrived together to find smoke and fire showing
from the second floor of a 1 1/2 story cape cod. As
the two engine companies stretched their lines,
Quint 509 and Tower 501 laddered and opened up the
building. Tower 501's crew made the roof and opened
it up just as the engine companies began
extinguishing the fire. With an "all clear" on the
house, Tower and Rescue Squad 501 hooked the second
floor as the Foam Engine checked for hot spots.
Truck 511 also assisted with ladders and opening up.
The Foam Engine and Tower Ladder headed back to the
City at 1630 hours. |
