ENGINE RUNS VACANT CRACK HOUSE IN THE 11 BOX |
|
August 10, 2007
–
At 1526 hours today,
Prince William County Fire Communications
transmitted a box alarm for fire in a vacant house
in the 10900 block of Ballsford Road bringing Engine
and Chief 501. The first due companies arrived to
find a good fire going on the second floor of an
abandoned dwelling that is frequently the home of
vagrants and drug users. The Engine arrived second
and supplied Wagon 511 while the crew assisted 511's
guys with placing their line in service.
Engine 501 then extended their own line and backed
up Wagon 511 on the second floor. The fire was
quickly extinguished and Engine 501 remained on
scene to assist with overhaul until 1628 hours when
they were released and headed back to the City.
Chief 501 (Holman) had operations. |
