THE
DAY CONTINUES WITH A SMALL KITCHEN FIRE IN GEORGETOWN
SOUTH |
|
August 28, 2007
–
At 1231 hours, box
alarm 81-13 transmitted for 9842 Maury Lane, in
Georgetown South. Engine, Wagon, Tower, and Chief
501 were quickly on the street with 13 men. While
responding, communications advised the fire was in
the kitchen, the occupants had evacuated, and were
now saying the house may be fully involved. Crews,
thinking they were going to work, arrived to find
smoke showing from a two story brick row. Inside
they found a small fire in the kitchen with minor
extension into cabinets. The box was quickly held to
Co.1 only, and crews opened up and vented. The Wagon
and Chief cut loose for a wreck while the other
units remained on scene until 1255 hours. |
